It is with great excitement that we launch a brand new
edition of Common Ground Christian News to the Tri-Cities & The
Mountain Empire area of Northeastern Tennessee and Southwestern Virginia!
For several months now much prayer and hard work have gone
in to make this very first edition a reality. We want to thank first and
foremost our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, who makes all things possible. We
also want to thank Tony & Donna Kilgore for their vision and hard work so that
you could receive this FREE copy of the Mountain Empire’s only total Christian
Newspaper.
It has been our experience over the years that when a new
edition of the paper has started, that means that there have been many who have
been on their faces before God for revival. Such is the case with this area as
well. Common Ground Christian News does not bring revival, but we are a catalyst
for a Mighty Move of God. To those of you who have prayed for a great stirring
of The Holy Spirit in your various communities; The answer is at hand!
We at Common Ground Christian News will strive here
in the Mountain Empire area to make sure that we report on the latest Christian
events, and pass them along to you in a perspective that will always be fair,
balanced and above all according to God’s Word. That is what we’ve done for the
past 12 years, and we see no reason to change it now. (We have other editions in
other states.)
God has always blessed this paper with his favor and good
graces, and you can see by our first group of advertisers that His favor
continues with this edition also. As a means of blessing this ministry, would
you pray for us as often as you can think of it, and say a great big “thank you”
to all the advertisers by giving them your business and support.
We also want to say a special “thank you” to all the
advertisers who placed an ad in this first issue totally on faith. As you can
see, their faith has become sight and will pay off in a big way. They will
receive a three-fold blessing. First, they will receive the business of being
seen in the paper. Second, they will receive business because we pray over each
and every ad; and third, they will receive business because they have blessed
the Kingdom of God by blessing this ministry with their ad dollars. It is a
win-win situation for all those involved.
When the Body of Christ pulls together as we are so capable
of, there is nothing that can stop us. As you pray and support this paper with
your prayers, advertising and subscriptions, God will continue to expand it
until we can cover all of Northeastern Tennessee and Southwestern Virginia.
If you are receiving this very first edition, then you
should thank your church staff for allowing this nondenominational paper to be
distributed through your local church. (Many churches in this area will not
allow them to be placed in their churches.)
If you received this paper through some other means and
would like to start receiving them into your local congregation, simply contact
us and we will do our best to see that you start receiving them. That would be a
blessing to both of us, as well as your entire congregation.
