FOR YOUR CONSIDERATION
“A Time of Great Expectation”
By Garry Lovette, Senior Editor
What a dynamic year 2006 was! God truly blessed us in a
miraculous way last year. Although the year seemed to literally
fly by, we relish our new friendships attained in the last year
and all the wonderful experiences. God truly is an Awesome God!
2006 saw the start of (2) new papers for Common Ground Christian
News. We saw the beginning of our first paper outside the
Southeastern United States in the city of Morgantown, WV in the
summer, and in November a second paper in the city of Clarksburg,
WV. TO GOD BE THE GLORY! We made a wonderful friend in Pastor
Eddie Atkinson of The Harvest Church in Morgantown. Bro. Eddie has
truly been an inspiration to me and excited me with his enthusiasm
about the paper. God bless you Eddie!
We also saw the readership of the paper go up in a significant
way. We now estimate our readership to be approaching 250,000! Now
a full quarter million people can read what God is doing in the
church and read great, uplifting, encouraging articles from our
very talented writers and columnists.
This column will also appear for the first time in the first brand
new edition for North Central Alabama to begin January 2007. This
brand new edition will cover the counties of Cullman & Blount in
Alabama and already has started off in record fashion.
God has never disappointed us. Each new day, week, month, and year
have been as exciting as they have been challenging. Since this is
a daily learning process, we are constantly changing things and
tweaking the process. We pray on a consistent basis that God would
give us even greater vision for the new year and beyond.
This year looks to be our breakout year. Besides our (11) editions
in the states of: Alabama, Mississippi, Tennessee, Georgia, & West
Virginia, we have interest to start other editions in the states
of: Alabama, Georgia, Florida, Louisiana, Colorado, Oregon,
Kansas, Ohio, Kentucky, and New York.
As you read this, I ask very sincerely that you put this ministry
on your daily prayer list. We can’t operate and move forward
without the guidance of the Holy Spirit. We must have His perfect
guidance and control in order to see the growth and change that he
requires.
And, as always, we welcome your input and comments. We are first
to admit that we don’t have all of the great ideas…just some of
them!
From the bottom of our hearts, the staff and management of Common
Ground Christian News thanks you for making last year such a
resounding success. And we want to thank you in advance for
praying and supporting us in the coming year. Together, we can do
great things for God!
